OCR Level 2 NVQ Certificate Customer Service

The OCR Level 2 NVQ (NQF) in Customer Service is primarily aimed at candidates who undertake a customer service role and recognises that employment in the customer service sector involves a diverse range of functions, tasks and activities that are constantly developing and changing. It is suitable for candidates: who have particular customer service and administrative job roles. who are working in a customer service environment. whose role is to provide service to customers.

OCR Level 2 NVQ Team Leading

This qualification is intended for individuals who have a responsibility for the work of others, as they lead a team. It is suitable for people who are entering management, or who have the ability and the opportunity to demonstrate recognisable management and leadership skills, for example, providing leadership for your team, encouraging innovation, allocating and checking work. To achieve a full award, candidates must complete six units, including four mandatory units and two optional units. Candidates choose the optional units which best suit their work situation and job role.

OCR Level 3 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment

This qualification is intended for those who maintain the quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre.

OCR Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement

The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement has been specifically designed for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment).

OCR Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Customer Service

This qualification is suitable for those who: ✓ are already experienced in a job involving customer service and wish to update their knowledge, understanding and skills to improve their customer service performance ✓ wish to develop their full potential and/or the potential of others to deliver and improve customer service ✓ are seeking career progression through jobs involving customer service ✓ wish to add to their personal portfolio of qualifications for acceptance on to other courses ✓ are embarking on an Apprenticeship in Customer Service

OCR Level 3 Certificate Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector

From September 2007, all new entrants to teaching in the sector will be required to complete as a minimum, a new award which will prepare them to teach. This is a small introductory course which will give a threshold status to teach. It will be mandatory for any new teacher who teaches publicly funded provision. Those for whom teaching/tutoring/training is their major role, will be required to progress to a further qualification suited to those identified as being as Associate teacher. Someone is deemed to be an associate teacher role (as identified by LLUK) if their role and responsibilities are to teach predominantly in at least one of the following ways: From packs/pre-prepared materials, and therefore has fewer responsibilites in design of curriculum and materials generally. On a one-to-one basis. A programme confined to a particular level/subject/type of learner (i.e. does not develop or deliver a full range across a curriculum area. Short courses. The OCR certificates in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) are made up of three mandatory units (worth 18 credits) and at least one optional unit (depending on the credit value of the unit). Candidates must complete at least 24 credits to achieve the certificate. These qualificatons are part of the Qualifications Credit Framework and are at either level 3 or level 4 to allow access to candidates with different abilities.

Management NVQ (NQF)s are aimed at people in management roles across all occupations and sectors of employment. The Management level 3 qualification is broadly aimed at those who are responsible for the control of activities and work output of a team who have the ability and the opportunity to demonstrate recognisable management and leadership skills, for example, providing leadership, planning and implementing change, managing a budget, managing a project. To achieve the full award, candidates must complete seven units, including four mandatory units and three optional units. Candidates choose the optional units which best suit their work situation and job role.

OCR Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Advice and Guidance

The aim of this qualification is to recognise the skills and competences in the workplace. The qualification is primarily aimed at practitioners who work directly with clients, disseminating information, advice and some level of guidance. Candidates will be working with information that is often interpreted by others, usually working within some clear guidelines. It is suitable for candidates: -whose work includes clear guidelines in the practice of advice and guidance. -who are working in designated advice and/or guidance organisations. -whose role is to provide information that is often interpreted by others. This NVQ will allow for progression to and from OCR's existing portfolio of Advice and Guidance related qualifications and will complement other vocational qualifications.

The qualification will provide accredited professional development opportunities for those currently and newly working in these areas and encourage progression in the sector.

OCR Level 4 Diploma in Careers Information and Advice Units

This programme of selected Units from The Level 4 Diploma in Careers Information and Advice aims to provide accredited professional development opportunities for those currently working within the Career Guidance sector, or those preparing to enter such roles, and to encourage progression within the sector. The programme selects key units from the Level 4 Diploma in Careers Information and Advice to allow learners to obtain accreditation in a number of key units relevant to organisational delivery in the current careers, information and advice arena.

OCR Level 4 Diploma in Learning and Development

The new qualifications are designed for candidates who facilitate learning and development by; identifying the learning needs of individuals, preparing learning and development resources, and by creating an engaging learning environment. The candidates may be involved with developing and assessing the skills, knowledge and competence of learners primarily in the workplace or in work-related programmes of learning. It is recognised that employment in a learning and development role involves a diverse range of functions, tasks and activities which are constantly developing in light of technological advances and changes in working practices. Learning and development may involve more specialised tasks such as evaluation and the analysis of data or delivery of training using information technology. It is recognised that individuals and employers must be responsible for gaining the skills needed to meet ever changing business objectives, which will in turn lead to improvement in efficiency and effectiveness throughout organisations. As these qualifications assess a candidate’s competence against the National Occupational Standards for Learning and Development at Level 4, candidates must prove they are competent in a wide range of learning and development activities. For example, In the Level 4 Diploma in Learning and Development, candidates must demonstrate that they are evaluating and developing their own practice. The types of job roles that these qualifications apply to may include: • in-house trainers and training managers • external trainers, managers and consultants • workplace managers and supervisors • experienced staff with responsibility for developing colleagues with less experience, skills and knowledge • assessors • verifiers

OCR Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Advice and Guidance

The aim of this qualification is to recognise the skills and competences of candidates in the workplace. The qualification is primarily aimed at experienced practitioners who work directly with clients, disseminating information, advice, guidance and formal advocacy. Candidates might also have some managerial or training responsibilities. They could also be creators of information, advice and guidance, either disseminating information themselves as practitioners or through their organisation in the form of publications. Candidates at this level are expected to have a more dynamic relationship with other organisations. It is suitable for candidates: -Who have managerial or training responsibilities. -Who are creators of information, advice and guidance within the service/practice. -Who are dynamic in their dealings with organisations. It supports the recognised need that individuals and employers must be responsible for gaining the skills needed to meet ever changing objectives which will in turn lead to improvements in efficiency and effectiveness throughout the organisation and with clients. This qualification will allow for progression to and from OCR's portfolio of Advice and Guidance related qualifications and will complement other vocational qualifications.

OCR Level 5 NVQ Diploma Management

Management NVQ (NQF)s are aimed at people in management roles across all occupations and sectors of employment. The Management level 5 qualification is intended for managers who are responsible for the control of activities and work output of other managers, who have the ability and the opportunity to demonstrate recognisable management and leadership skills, for example improving organisational performance, providing leadership, encouraging innovation, developing a strategic business plan, managing risk, planning the workforce managing a programme of complementary projects. To achieve the full award, candidates must complete seven units, including four mandatory units and three optional units.

OCR Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Career Guidance and Development

The Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development has been specifically designed for those working in the new Adult Advancement and Career Service, external agency and voluntary service guidance roles, and roles where staff who work in other organisations provide career advice and guidance, information, employability support and signposting as part of their own broader work role. The qualification will provide accredited professional development opportunities for those currently and newly working in these areas and encourage progression in the sector. Seven mandatory units cover essential skills, and a range of optional units enable centres and learners to choose those most relevant to individual roles. Learners will have the opportunity for both full qualification and unit certification.

OCR Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Career Guidance Theory (three units)

This cluster of units is taken from the Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and learners may progress to the full award. The qualification is designed for practitioners within the guidance sector working with any client group.

Some level 4 units can be used towards the level 6 qualification. M1 is also part of the level 6.
