OCR Progression Cluster from Level 4 Diploma in Career Information and Advice to Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development

You can also use the following if you achieved at level 4:

            O9 Use diagnostic and assessment tools with clients (called O8 at level 6)

            (Credit Value: 6)

            O13 Assist clients to apply for learning training and work (called O12 at level 6)

            (Credit Value: 3)

            O15 understand how to support specific client groups to overcome barriers to learning training and work (called O10 at level 6)

            (Credit Value: 3)

            O21 Promote career related learning to clients (called O17 at level 6)

            (Credit value: 6)

 

To complete the level 6 you will need to do mandatory units 2 to 7 and 15 credits from the following:

 

            Unit O8 Use diagnostic and assessment tools with clients (called O9 at level 4)

            (Credit Value: 6)

            Unit O10 Understand how to support specific client groups to overcome barriers to learning training and work (called O15 at level 4)

            (Credit Value: 3)

            Unit O11 Engage with support networks to help clients to meet their career-related needs

            (Credit Value: 3)

            Unit O12 Assist clients to apply for learning training and work (called O13 at level 4)

            (Credit Value: 3)

            Unit O15 Source, evaluate and use Labour Market intelligence with clients

            (Credit Value: 3)

            Unit O16 Obtain and organise career related information to support clients

            (Credit Value: 3)

            Unit O17 Promote career related learning to clients  (called O21 at level 4)

            (Credit Value: 6)

 

NB: Candidates who achieved the group work unit at level  6 , O18 Plan deliver and evaluate career-related learning in groups (Credit Value: 6) may also use this towards the full level 6.

Revision units will be covered briefly in class and workbooks will be provided for candidates who need those units.

 

Your workplace observation will take place between day 2 and day 4

  • Portfolio workshop
